Explain the causes of the rapid industrialization that occurred in Texas in the 1920s.

    Rapid industrialization in Texas would begin in the 1920's. The major causes were improved transportation systems. It became easier for people to become mobile. Shipping became cheaper and quicker. Construction of the Houston Ship Channel in 1914. Train freight was more cost effective than than wagon freight. The growth of the oil industry led to more jobs and the development of towns.
