History talks about two boats, the Speedwell and the Mayflower, responsible for taking the crew and passengers to America; on August 5th, 1620 both boats left Southampon shore, England, but soon after, Speedwell suffered a breakdown and had to be repaired at Dartmouth, then they sailed again, but the ship only reached open waters in the Atlantic ocean and was forced to return, finally just Mayflower was able to embark on the trip with 102 people on board, making a stop at Terranova, an island Northeast of America, in there they were supplied with water and food to try to get to Cape Cod, but the bad weather diverted them and caused them to be delayed, arriving to New England in winter time.
