    As the Soviet Union broke apart into multiple countries, the United States were quick to intervene and give their support to the new countries, but only if they were following some principles set by the United States themselves. Lot of countries did accepted the support from the United States, mainly because they were scared that Russia may attack them and incorporate them into its territory after it consolidates.

    All of the countries that chose the ''Western way'' started doing lots of reforms in their countries, by creating parliamentary democracies, switch from command to market economy, and aspire to get into the organization like the EU and NATO.
