A tithe is a tax paid to the church.

Old Regime was France's traditional social and political system.

The bourgeoisie was France's members of the middle class.

The aristocracy is made up of members of the nobility.

The Estates General was France's national assembly. (This is the only one that I'm not 100% sure, but they're the last two terms, so I'm assuming they go together.)
