My name is Mary. It's 1962 and i live in DC and would like to vote for the president. Can I?

    I'm assuming you're a female, and you're in luck. The 19th Amendment was ratified in the 20s, which means you can vote, as long as you're old enough. Remember, the voting age was lowered to 18 only in 1970, so you probably need to be 21.
