    Jefferson central claim is wealth should be redistributed in a way that benefits the majority of society.

    Because of this, Jefferson became one of the prominent supporter of large Government. Becaus he believed that large government will give them the power to create Govenrment programs such as welfares that would serve as a distribution of wealth for the poor.
