    A) Entertainment industry.

    Explanation:

The House Un-American Activities Committee was a government committee that worked to research people accused o disloyalty to the country. The two major conditions involving the accusation were fascism and communism. This committee investigated people in the entertainment media considered pro-communism. So, scriptwriters, directors, actors, musicians, and presenters were researched to the supposed links they had with communism and foreign communist powers. 79 individuals were found related to communism and 10 that refused to declare about their links to communism. Arguing that belonging to a communist party was not a crime. The careers of many o them were finished, and multiple attempts of declaring the accusations wrong were carried on. However, they didn't speak at court sworn under the constitution.
