The correct answer is - a. fertilizer used in agriculture can enter bodies of water, causing eventual oxygen depletion.

The fertilizers that are used in agriculture as much as they are good for the plants themselves, they are very problematic when it comes to the bodies of water. Through the washing through the layers of soil partially the fertilizers reach the low underground bodies of water. This bodies of water more often than not are connected to the bodies of water on the surface. From the fertilizers they will get much bigger amount of nutrients that they naturally get and this will cause eutrophication. Once the waters are eutrophicated algae will start to multiply quickly and become the dominant life form. The algae are causing the oxygen levels to drop significantly, which as an end result makes the water drop on quality significantly and also cause dying out of the life in it.
