Britain, France and the US decided to combine the German zones they were in control of, this resulted in the Soviets blockading Berlin in an effort to get the Western Powers out of the Berlin city. After the end of world war II, the victorious countries reunited at Yalta to decide what to do with Germany, it was decided that German should be divided into four, one part to be controlled by England, one part by US, one part by France and the other one by Soviet Union.
