The twenty-sixth amendment supports that U. S. citizens who are over 18 can vote. During World War II, President Franklin Roosevelt lowered the minimum drafting age from 21 to 18, this led to a lot of protests and oppositions, and so the popular rally saying was "Old Enough to Fight, Old Enough to Vote" was established. Passed and Ratified by Congress in 1971, 26th Amendment granted the right to vote at age 18.
