Brown v. Board of Education was a major case in history. Why was it so important? WHat case did it overturn?

    The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that racial segregation in the education system and violated the 14th amendment which protects American citizens from being denied of equal protection under the law.

    It overturned Plessy v. Ferguson (1896) which stated separate but equal.
