Under what circumstances were Roma exempted from deportation and death? Were these exemptions respected?

    They had a rich oral culture that values family. They were very hard workers and took the work that they think they could do.

    Roma were also know as Gypsies.

    Roma were considered as racially inferior by the Nazis. Under Nazi regime, they were exploited by German authorities who subjected them to slavery, imprisonment, forced labor and mass murder.

    1939-1945 was the phase when Roma were subjected to genocide.
