Both a and b are true statements. The ancients prayed frequently for the gods' assistance but were always careful never to offend the gods for fear of their wrath. Gods often disguised as ordinary human beings out of interest for humans. It is also believed that the gods had children with humans, resulting in demigods.

"a. A god or goddess could be a powerful ally or a terrible foe" would be the only true statement from the list, since the Greek believed heavily in assistance from these Gods in a variety of ways.
