    Betty Friedan was a American writer, activist, and feminist. She was a leading figure in the women’s movement in the US, the book she wrote was called "The Feminine Mystique" and her contribution to society is that she created the second wave of American feminism by her writing; co-founded the National Organization for Women and aided in the founding the National Association.
