The climate is Italy is predominantly Mediterranean one. This has major impact on the agriculture in this country, thus on its economy and trade as well. Italy's climate enables it to produce crops that are in high demand and go for good price, such as the grapes, olives, artichokes, and oranges. These four cultures bring the Italian economy a lot of money. From the grapes Italy produces some of the best vines in the world, the olives are sold both for eating and as olive oil, they are the largest producer of artichokes in the world, and supply the majority of Europe with oranges. In general it can be said that the climate has a very positive impact on the Italian economy and trade.
