    This was called the Patriot act

    The full name is USA Patriot which stands for U niting and S trengthening A merica by P roviding A ppropriate T ools R equired to I ntercept and O bstruct T errorism and was an act that was implemented to fight terrorism domestically. There were many controversies because it was believed that many provisions of the act were unconstitutional.
