    The main difference between American and Athenian democracy was that:

    Women were not allowed to vote in Athens whereas, in America women are given the right to vote. Athens was a small city state and America has many states. Citizens in Athens were involved in every decision so that no one would be left behind. Whereas, in America only few people are involved.

    Explanation:

    Athens was an ancient city. Even today the democracy of Athen of is well applauded. It is considered as one of the best democracy of the world even today.

    But in today's age, America has shown to be a full democracy as well.
