1. Although the Lusitania was sunk in 1915, and it angered many Americans, the government refused to go to war. Why do you think the country remained out of the war for two more years?

    The country was very upset about Lusitania which was sunk by the submarine attack by Russia in which many fellow Americans were sunk. This was unacceptable for america but they decided not to take revenge immediately. So they were out of war for two years.
