    The Declaration of Sentiments was held in Seneca Falls in the earlies 1800's, to be more exact 1848.

    This statement demanded equality between men and women in education, employment and voting rights.

    In 1869 The national Woman Suffrage Association was formed by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton whose primary focus was obtaning voting rights for women.

    it was only in 1893 that women were granted the right to vote in Colorado, the first state in US to allowed it.
