What failures in the Confederate war effort can be attributed to Jefferson Davis and the political leadership of the Confederacy?

    *The Confederate leadership lacked unity among them. Some governors openly opposed to such measures.

    *The Confederate government managed to centralize authority far beyond anything the South had experienced before, but it failed to find an effective means of utilizing its major economic resource-cotton.

    Explanation:

    He held less power in the South than Lincoln did in the North. Also Davis' economic policies couldn't provide the South with a stable capacity to prevail in the war.
