Since the new process for producing textiles changed, the waypeople dressed altered in the 1830s and 1840s. One of the manyexamples are; people wore more home-made clothing, but also some people wore ready-made clothing that lessens the workloadof the tailor if you want to have a home-made one.

A lot of people prefered home-made clothing, since they are cheapand comnfortable to wear. Thus, these kind of clothingincreased in quantity and decreased in price.

Better quality fabric became costly, so people favored cheapgrades of cloth.
