Two groups who greatly influenced Roman culture were the Etruscans and the Greeks. Romans learned a great deal about engineering from the Etruscans. They also adopted some Etruscan sporting events. Greek civilization had a huge influence on Roman culture.

Greeks drama and music have a great impact on Rome. Greeks drama were religious in nature whereas the romans dramas were used only for entertainment. The Greeks restructured the romans drama and music to moral and didactic in nature.
Greeks were food in influencing romans architectural designs and arts. Most utensils, furnitures, building designs etc were all the works of Greece. Greeks art in form of portraits and statues had great impacts on romans artistic works.
