    Explanation:

    The early twentieth century was a great period for women struggle and new tasks were taken by the women of the United States by breaking old traditions. But this was not a scene for all women as women's role were still confined to particular jobs and too was strictly monitored. Becoming a professor was hard for women of the 1920's their education was limited and directed towards moral education. Secondly work environment as not open to women as they have to struggle in pregnancy, male colleagues and social stigma.
