    Great Britain and France

    Explanation:

The French and Indian War was a dispute over control in North America.

Lasting from 1754 to 1763 the conflict is characterized by a series of alliances between Great Britain and France and their respective native allies.

Often the tide of the battle was favored by the local alliances, since control of the Ohio River Valley was crucial in the beginning.

The settlements in the area were to be used as trade posts, and the major powers of the time engaged in an open conflict, to be carried out in the American soil.

The British benefited from defeating the French and seized huge territories, when the French surrendered signign the Treaty of Paris in 1763. However the ongoing policies made further damage, since the colonies were made responsible for the war costs.

Colonnials were unhappy with their European counterparts, the local natives were totally displaced and voiceless in the distribution of the lands that followed and adding up of political concerns quickly boosted the American Revolutioin.
