    Public awareness can be achieved with few different measures implemented at the same time, like:

    - Government sponsored commercials which will represent the risks of the water scrcity.

    - Public gatherings with the representatives of the local communities and educating and informing them of the problems.

    - Classes at the schools were the young population will be made aware of the problem from a very young age.

    - Increased price of the freshwater, and implementing financial charges if the freshwater is used for cleaning streets, watering plants, washing cars, etc ...
