The correct answer to this open question is the following.
William Jewett Tucker is critical of Carnegie because Tucker considers that charity is not a real solution to the problems of society. Let's remember that after being accused of being a greedy businessman, Carnegie made some donations to charity and institutions such as churches, universities, and libraries. Tucker considered that society should not be patronized. He thought that the real answer was on a better distribution of wealth in the United States. He said that so few had so many. And the majority of the citizens were in need.
