How and why did the nature of slavery change in the Middle Atlantic Colonies after the English seized the region from the Dutch?

    The business of slavery in the Mid Atlantic colonies changed because the British started importing more slaves to their sugar plants in the Caribbean, as opposed to keeping them strictly in the colonies.
