    First is that under the law, no man is guilty unless proven so. Second is that the protection of the right of the one accused is a reflection of the protection given to society itself. The last one is that if proper authority (such as policemen) is not used, then the system will be at a disadvantage because the guilty may be freed and the innocent may be jailed.
