    The Reign of Terror was a dark and violent period of time in the French Revoloution. It was started by a French lawyer named Robespierre who was with a political group called the Jacobins and they overthew the Girondins. Robespierre declares terror "the order of the day" which resulted in two years of war and took many people's lives before it ended in July 1794
