Why did the socialist party gain significant political influence during the progressive era?

    This is mainly because of the Socialist Movement during the progressive era. Progressive era is when the worker and farmer class starting to understand their importance to the society. Socialism meets worker class's demand the best, thus it gained most significance during progressive era.
