    The three tactics colonists used to protest British taxes were 1. Intellectual protest 2. Economic Boycott and 3. Violent intimidation. The British imposed different types of taxes in the colonies they set up which caused so much anger and resentments. They imposed new taxes to pay salaries for judges and governers.
