Why did leisure time go up in the 1920's?

Because although the 1920's coined the phrase, "The Roaring 20's", many people didn't actually own lions. At the time, many people owned cats and it therefore should have been called "The Meowing 20's". Silly historians don't know what they are talking about these days.
