The characteristics that are common to all elements that were discovered since the 1950s, are 1st, they are a result of the bombardment of previously discovered elements. Say for example Bohrium, discovered in the year 1981, was a result of the bombardment of bismuth and chromium. They are said to be artificially prepared in the laboratory. They are also considered as transuranium elements (meaning they have atomic number greater than 92). Most of the recently discovered elements are said to be radioactive, care must be undertaken.
