    The traders used the seasonal monsoon winds in the Indian Ocean to develop the Indian Ocean Trade route it is even known as the Monsoon Marketplace.

    The development of transatlantic or triangular trade routes was influenced by currents and winds as major western Europe countries used to sail to Caribbean by going to 30 degrees N latitude and then sailing westwards using the trade winds and returning from America to Europe was easy using the westerlies.
