    Monroe had joined isolationism policy as a major part of the US foreign policy.

    Explanation:

    Whereas, George Washington always used to convince the people that one should be very cautious while making dealing with other countries and making alliances and long term agreements.

    Therefore, Isolationism policy came to avoid military and political agreements with other countries.

    Monroe in his speech declared that no colonisation will take place in future by the British. And any strip taken by them towards against this policy will be declared dangerous and affecting peace and harmony.
