Virginia economy mainly depended on agriculture and their main source of wealth were tobbaco.
Explanation:
There were lots of tobbaco plantations and African men, women, children were brought to the colonies so as to work for these tobbaco plantations. Tobacco turned into the most gainful horticultural item since it was sold in England as a money crop.
Tobbaco was used as a cash crop (plants which were grown in order to make money and not for the people who grow it). They used to sell tobbaco to places like England and they used to get goods in return for that (barter system).
