The right to a trial by jury, the right to be consulted before the implementation of higher taxes, the right to life and liberty, and also the right to inherit property.
Explanation:
Magna Carta is one of the most important legal documents in history. It created the idea that everybody is subjected to the law and that even kings have limits and have to obey the law and this means that are certain rights of individuals that the king cannot remove, such as the right to justice and fair trial.
The Magna Carta was signed because a group of barons rebelled against King John of England and demanded that he signed the document so they could have those rights reassured. It has 63 clauses, but the third one is one of the most important ones:
"No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any other way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgement of his equals or by the law of the land.
"To no one will we sell, to no one deny or delay right or justice."
