How did the invention of the Bessemer process benefit the U. S. economy?

    The Bessemer process was a new innovation in the 2nd industrial revolution in the U. S. It was a way of producing a lot of steel in a shorter amount of time. This made steel a huge industry in the Northeast especially. Also, steel was cheaper and of better quality. Railroads were built with this steel to. The U. S economy increased because of the use of the railroad.
