The War Party opposed the meeting, while the Peace Party favored holding the meeting.

    Answer: Option A

    Explanation:

Consultation was the meeting that was held in Texas and to talk about the revolution of Texas against Mexico. The war party wanted complete independence from Mexico and wanted no interference in Texas by the Mexican government.

Where as the peace party wanted Texas to be a part of Mexico only but they wanted this only under the constitution of Mexico. So war party did not want the meeting to take place where as the peace party was in favor of the meeting to be held.
