    Explanation: but that holds true only in the case of Europe. For example in Latin America industrial revolution/modernization took place in 1930s (Vargas in Brazil) but it was preceded by no scientific revolution. What is called science in Latin America was imported. First real university in Brazil was founded in 1934 (Universidade de Sao Paulo) !
