6. How do you think Rousseau's ideas might shape a new government?

    Rousseau argued that the power to rule came from the will of the people. People should agree on laws to which rulers should enforce them; those who do not agree with the majority are forced to obey. His ideas resemble that of a democracy (which I believe he aimed for), but he has claimed that "there has never been a true democracy, and there never will be."
