The Lend-Lease Act moved the US away from the Neutrality Acts which prevented anyone in the US from selling items to warring nations, lending money or supplies to warring nations. The US until the passage of the Lend-Lease Act was staying out of the war for the most part. This act allowed the US to lend supplies, weapons, and armaments to the Allied Nations only. This put the US on one of the war and drew a clear line of support.
