The "caravan trade" impacted the Silk Road by making it even more popular in order to connect different goods from East to West and vice versa. It also allowed people to exchange culture because different elements from various civilizations were also being exchanged in the Silk Road. In addition to this, disease also traveled fast, such as the "bubonic plague."

    Explanation:

The "Silk Road" did not only serve as a trading area for the caravans but it also allowed people to know other cultures in terms of religion, philosophy, science, architecture and the like. It also led to the fast travel of disease such as the "bubonic plague" in 542 C. E. The plague is said to have killed 50 million people and it started arriving in Constantinople through the Silk Road.
