How did McCulloch v ... Maryland decision promote nationalism?

    It was the federal government's power to manage the Second National Bank, or any institution it created, and should not and would not be subject to a state's personal benefit. Although this ruling was in favor of the Federal Government, it did ultimately promote nationalism.
