    Bacon's rebellion was an armed rebellion in 1676 made by settlers in Virginia against British Governor William Berkeley. This happened due to the policies executed by the British rule, which forbade the trade of furs with native Americans. Rebels proceeded to attack Native Americans. An action that would be suppressed by the British Ar, y, led by Berkeley. After the rebellion, Sarah Drummond, the widow of William Drummond, petitioned the Board of Trade and Plantations to restore to her the property which belonged to her husband.
