How does texas law approach the issue of former government officials becoming lobbyists?

    A number of reforms were passed after the Sharpstown scandal in 1971-72 that led to much tighter controls on lobbying by officials. Officials must disclose their income sources, citizens have the ability to see more governmental records, and disclosure records of lobbyists who are paid were put into effect.
