What impact did the Frankish leader Charles Martel have on Christian Europe's relations with the muslims Spain in the 8th century

Charles Martel worsened the relations between the Christian parts of Europe with the muslim Spanish rule in the 8th century. He fought against them and stopped thier invasion from spreading further inland in Europe. For this reason we did, of course, not have particularly warm relations with rule of muslim Spain.
