What effect did the Arab rejection of the State of Israel have on today's Palestinians?

    They hate each other now.

    Explanation:

    They both want the land. They don't want to share the land. Israel conquered most of the land and won lots of wars after that in defence (mostly). Lots of people died. There are terrorist groups living in Palestine who attack across the border and kill Israeli citizens. This means Israel responds and launches missiles into Palestine. More people die.
