If you were able to survive in a vacuum, you would not be able to hear sound even if it was made right next to you. Why is that, remember a sound wave is a mechanical wave.

    Sound needs something

    Explanation:

    Sound travels through the vibration of atoms, and molecules, in a medium such as air, water, etc. There is no air, or liquid water in space, so sound can't travel.
