How the United state's asserted itself as an independent nation?

The United States assert itself to become an independent nation is because with the war which has been called the revolutionary war that involves the fight with the British colonies. The methods of those British had asked taxes in their country which they don’t want to be implemented as they don’t want taxation. They form their independent country after having been free from the Britain.
